Forgot to post, but ages ago after digging out Q2 for benchmarking the new laptop, I set up Q2 Server too. I completely forgot about it and it’s been chugging away for ages now with a bunch of bots racking up a ton of kills.
It’s publicly available at quake2://kungfudazza.game-server.cc:27910, you can use the Quake2HandlerSetup to get this link to launch straight into it. It’s nothing marvellous at this stage, but thinking about updating it to include Chaos Mod if anyone’s up for it. Incidentally, Q2 benchmark stats are shocking - crazy res and 16xAA is still better than we used to get back in the day. Ah, the nostalgia.
I’ll see if I can get it to post stats too. Really, I should get out to the pub more.
